I’ve been slowly editing my photos. I want to go back!
Our stop in Osaka, about a half hour walk from the hostel. It had an underground mall attach, which is fairly common—at least, we’ve run into a few different ones so far. There were mostly little boutique shops and small restaurants or bakeries.
Traveling to Osaka on Sunday morning. We had to take a few different trains. On the main leg of our journey (took about an hour) we took two different trains with reserved seating. When we got the tickets there weren’t enough in the non-smoking cars. The guys were nice and let me have the one that was left and sat in the smoking cars, but that meant I was by myself! It caused a little bit of a flareup of anxiety because I had no idea what I was doing but they were able to come get me before each stop. And the trains are so much nicer than what I’m used to! The ride is smooth and quiet, plus the other passengers are usually fairly quiet. On the first train there was a cute kid who kept looking out the window.
Alright, so maybe we are a few weeks late for sakura (cherry blossoms). But the dogwood trees are in full bloom and are very beautiful!
The view from Rob’s balcony on Sunday morning, then from the front door, and the guys all set to go. There’s a nice little park/walkway area underneath his balcony. Some kids were practicing and filming their skateboarding stunts when we were leaving.
I keep saying to Kevin ‘Look! Mountains! I like mountains; they’re really pretty!’ He *might* be starting to get sick of that…. but man, mountains are great!!
